The Widow in the Bye Street

Masefield, John

£15.00

After years of writing little, Masefield had a new impetus in 1911 when he published the first of his narrative poems, The Everlasting Mercy. Two more followed in 1912, of which The Widow in the Bye Street was the 1st. As a result of these three, he was awarded the 1912 Edmond de Polignac Prize.
