Journey to the Ends of Time: Vol 1. Lost in the Dark Wood

Sitwell, Sacheverell

£30.00

Journey to the Ends of Time is the knowledge and experience of a lifetime projected into the form of fantasias of the mind and soul. They are exercises of the imagination, and variations upon the greatest of all human themes. But it is not written from a religious angle, and is lighter and freer in treatment because of that. There are no sinners in hell, nor saints in heaven; or none, at least, of those whom we might expect to find there. And the journey is more personal and more highly coloured for their absence. This work, which is serious of intent, has many gay moments, its ultimate purpose being to interest and entertain. It is the author’s hope, in his own words, that in the course of it he has hurt no susceptibilities and given no offence. For these are matters on which nearly every one of us has deep feelings. But brave words must be spoken, or it would not be worth reading. The writer must be permitted his own personal way of thinking. This is a task he has performed with all the energy of which he is capable, and in the knowledge of this he invites the reader to follow him, and forgive him. Despite intentions, Sitwell never completed additional volumes in the series.
