The Lord from Heaven

Anderson, Sir Robert (pref. Handley Moule)

£25.00

Sir Robert Anderson (1841-1918) was Asst Commissioner of London’s Metropolitan Police and a frequent writer of theology. This study of Christ focuses not only the personality of His manifestation on Earth, but the theological significance which the Son of God holds. What impact Christ has on the Christian believer throughout life, and His importance to the believer who intends to journey to the afterlife, are revealed in a lucid yet poignant series of reflections. The Gospels of John and Matthew are examined in sequence, their testimonies examined closely along with that of Paul and the foretelling words in the Book of Revelation. We thus gain a good knowledge of New Testament theology, both in the context of Christ as savior and in the prophetic elements significant in Christianity. Anderson concludes his examination with an inspiring chapter on the Lord’s grace, and how such grace accompanies believers in the afterlife.
